Henri De Toulouse Lautrec 1954 Lithograph Titled "Theatre Antoine La Gitane De Richepin." Features four colors, grey for the background, blue shading off, ochre shading off to the red of the lettering and black. Produced for "La Gitane" or 'The Gypsy," a drama in four acts from Jean Richepin. The play was first performed at the Theatre Antoine on January 22nd 1900. This poster was one of only two where Toulouse-Lautrec utilized a process where by several colors can be printed at one pass of the printing press as long as the color sequence is arranged in concert with the movement of the platen. In this case, the man's cloak and the words "Theatre Antoine, La Gitane de Richepin" were printed concurrently.
